KINDERGARTEN AFAC 2016

After School Activities for Kindergarten students will begin on January 20, 2016 and will end on June 1, 2016. The activities will be held every Wednesday from 2:15 to 3:10 pm. Please note that the program is strictly for Kindergarten students only.

The aim of Kindergarten AFAC is to give our students exposure to a wide variety of activities, which will then enable both you and your child to make more informed choices in Grade 1 when a more extensive program is offered.

There will be six activities and each will be supervised by Teacher Assistants. The Teacher Assistants will assist the activity Coaches and accompany students to and from their activities. They will pick up the children from the kindergarten hallway every Afterschool Activities day. They will then return the children back to the hallway after the activity is finished.

Your child will stay with their section and attend all activities described below, rotating to a new activity every three weeks. The final schedule of activities with venues will be communicated to you after the number of participants is confirmed and the groups are organized. We ask that you please provide an extra snack for your child on Afterschool Activity days. Your child will eat snack prior to their AFAC.

TRANSPORTATION:
  • After the activities, bus riders will be picked up by their respective bus mothers from the kindergarten hallway.
  • Other students do need to be picked up by their parents / guardians at 3:15; students who are not picked up by 3:20 will be taken to the ES office.
  • Teacher Assistants will remain with your child until he / she is picked up.
